Apparently there are several million of these painted lady butterflies descending on the UK. There are clouds of them around every buddleia bush, it's a beautiful sight! I crocheted a blanket. The cat approves. Pattern is Granny Stripe by @attic24 and the yarn is @stylecraftyarns Special DK in colours Lipstick, Spice, Sunshine, Kelly Green, Empire and Emperor. The edging is a generic white acrylic yarn, four rounds of double crochet. Today Amber and I took part in a baby art workshop with @craftalavista at @the_leith_collective in @ocean_terminal . Amber used food colouring and cornflour based paints to create some messy artwork, and then we got this fab cut out to put over the top! Really happy with the finished result, and the workshop was raising money for Simpson's Special Care Baby Unit, so we were able to support a good cause too.
